It's a Girl!

Alright, we already knew it was going to be a girl. I gave Zhanar a good scare by saying "Uh-oh, it's a boy!" as they were washing her up. I think I scared the doctor too. Anyhow, all went well, and Zhanar is sleeping now. I should be doing the same but now I'm addicted to blogging. Just gotta publish!

Since I'm scatterbrained, I don't recall the actual birth measurements so suffice it to say she's big enough. If you want to compete I'll bet that her size as a percentage of Zhanar's size should beat most people hands down. Although Zhanar did benefit from the inheritance of my small (but efficient) head, as well as my peaceful demeanor. She is also likely to inherit my fondness for plungers, since she entered the world with one stuck on the top of her head. Well, more news later, as well as the much awaited name unveiling. Must... sleep... now...

Dude, you are sick - you need to take up something else to do in your spare time - oh, wait, raising baby - EXACTLY what you need!! Congrats, not like you really did anything, anyways. Who wants to view pictures of you climbing some small hill in some foriegn country, anyways? They would much rather see manly pictures of me playing tennis, extreme surfing or competing in the Tour de France.............

Zhanar and Bill... First, a big Congratulations!!!

Second, we knew the two of you would do just fine, but don't forget Zhanar did all of the work.

And third, how about sharing the Name! And Statistics. You are a numbers guy. Where are the numbers?

She is beautiful! Just like her mom. Oh, and her dad is cute too, so that will help.

Don't forget... The Name!

Love from all here in Vista

I find it so amusing to picture you sitting at a keyboard banging out an email with Zhanar on the other end of the room straining through labor just to let everyone know what's happening. But how cool for us to get to be a part of it?! Congratulations to you both! I hope everything goes smoothly & I'm confident that you and Zhanar will be awesome parents. I'll look forward to meeting the little one & happy parents when you guys make it back stateside. Have fun!!

Congratulations!

She's beautiful! She looks so alert and calm too.

But what's this with just 3 photos? Hmmmm... Something tells me we might be getting less news for the next few weeks... months... But then maybe it's a good idea to stop posting photos and start thinking of a name!

Then again who needs a name, with a face like that you can just call her sweetheart. Everyone will know who you are talking about.

Hey, in my own defense, Zhanar was SLEEPING when I wrote the blog, not suffering thru labor pains. Hooray for drugs. ;)

Hey Bill,

Congratulations! Maybe she will be the next Excel macro guru, overtaking her dad! Maybe she'll be the next big person to look out for 21 years later. Bigger than Bill, I mean, Bill Gates!

Take care!
